A statement regarding Canine Genetic Services at the Animal Health Trust

3 July 2020

The trustees of the Animal Health Trust have just announced today that they have been unable to secure adequate financial backing to secure the long-term future of the charity (https://www.aht.org.uk/news/statement-from-the-animal-health-trust). As a result, the charity will formally close on 31 July 2020.

We therefore regret to announce that Genetic Services at the Animal Health Trust will also cease to function after 31 July 2020. We have therefore stopped selling DNA tests with immediate effect. We will continue to work hard to process as many outstanding tests as we possibly can until then. If you have swabs, please send them back to us immediately so that we can at least try to process your samples. At this time, we do not know whether we will be able to issue any refunds on outstanding orders.

The news came as a surprise to us today as well, not long before it was made public, so please be patient while we try to adjust, find the answers and make the most of the time we have left, to serve our valued customers. We will issue updates when we have them.

We would like to thank our customers for supporting us over the years, and for their patience and understanding over the last few months. We are so sorry to have let you down.

Best wishes
